TADPOLES! It's early summer and the Nekojin catkids are discovering tadpoles at "Basho's Pond" while Mr. Nekojin struggles to be in "Basho Mode" and master the art of haiku.

AFTER THE RAINY SEASON the mosquitoes in Tajimi become huge, vicious monsters. Nothing can stop them! NOTHING!!!!! Not even Katori senko (pyrethrum). Be afraid! BE VERY AFRAID!!!!!

It's been so hot lately, over 100 degrees F. for over a week, that I couldn't help but think back to last winter when Catman and Super Sumie traveled to Sochi, Russia, for the Winter Olympics.

Recently we had an "epidemic" of caterpillars in Tajimi. Some of them were rather strange looking indeed!
