“Dans sa chamber” (“In His Bedroom”) by famed post-post-post-impressionist Vinnie van Nekojin, currently on exhibition at the Musée d'Orsay, Paris. The diminutive van Nekojin prefers simplicity and color. “#$&%! There must be color! For me it is a place where I can rest or dream. I have only applied simple plain colors, like those in crêpes. Yummy and nutritious crêpes!”

This time Japan was under attack by not one, but two despotic politicians and the situation was critical! In response, Catman took up the challenge and instructed Professor Nuts (formerly of Scotland Yard) to immediately book the team on the “Redeye” flight from San Francisco to Osaka while he headed out on two crucial meetings via the matrix…later they would meet up in Osaka...

MEET "BOBBIE CAT"

    It all started a few weeks ago when I discovered very large cat paw prints and claw marks in the fresh topsoil I had just set in the front garden of “The Hermitage,” located near the shores of “Walden”. Those claw marks led right up to a mound of fresh dirt which contained of all things a “cat present” but one far too large for the average house cat and which contained bits and pieces of various “stuff”. A similar set of paw prints and another “present” was found last week. It became obvious that we had a new “neighbor” at “Walden” but look as I might, I could find nothing, could see nothing about, except for some occasional scattered feathers. I didn’t think too much more about it until a couple of mornings ago on my morning walk when the mystery was perhaps solved…Meet “Bobbie Cat.”

UNCLE HAYATO'S ART CORNER (Sort of...)

Today we present "Flying Batsand the Full Moon by Ohara Kosnn, dated c. 1930 depicting four bats flying on a full moon night. The old name of the bat was "henfuku", which containted the word, "fuku" (happiness). Therefore, a bat was considered as a lucky symbol in Japan.

Two of the bats in this scene appear to be a bit more batty than the others but they are definitely "fuku"...
